Sea lion puppies need a safe and spacious space to relax and play while they wait for their parents to return from their hunting activities to feed the little ones. These places are called "Loberias" where you can find sea lion puppies and adults sunbathing, playing in the sand or swimming around the coasts. To get there we must walk along a short path that will take us to the beach where we find the colony of sea lions. We continue our walk on a rocky path made of loose volcanic rocks, so a good physical balance is needed to walk on this type of terrain. On the way we will find unique marine iguanas, one of the many endemic animals of the Galapagos and the only iguana in the world that plunges into the ocean to obtain its food. At the end of the trail we will find a small cliff from where we can see beautiful sea birds such as blue footed boobies, frigate birds, swallow-tailed gulls, shearwaters and petrels. After this visit we return to the small beach to snorkel in the calm seas of Galapagos.
